Learn the basics of weaving in a three-day course to create a woven scarf using Rigid Heddle Looms

Time & Location

Jun 28, 2024, 2:00 p.m. – Jun 30, 2024, 3:00 p.m.

New Denver, 604 7 Ave, New Denver, BC V0G 1S0, Canada

This 3-day course will take approximately 12 hours to complete.

Day One: (Held at Laurel Tree Fabric and Fibre) 2 pm - 4 pm. Warp looms using chosen yarn.

Day Two: (6 hours) 9 am - 3 pm. Weaving using Rigid Heddle Loom

Day Three: (4 hours) 9 am - 3 pm. Finish the scarves, hemstitching and wet-finishing

Throughout the course, discussion will be held regarding weave beyond the basics.

At the end of the day on Sunday, students will be able to take a finished (although possibly still damp) scarf home with them.
